In Prison Rules:

  • Do not give any EIT your personal contact information and do not bring or distribute business cards. Both are violations of CDCR rules. Do not give or receive anything to/from an EIT that is not provided by Defy Ventures.

  • Do not run at any time when you are in the institution, including all areas within the first gate.

  • The only physical contact allowed with EITs is handshakes, high fives, or fist bumps. No hugging.

  • Do not stray from the group. If you need to use the restroom, please ask for a staff member. You will be escorted at all times.

  • Do not make any promises of any type to the EITs (e.g., “I’ll hire you when you get out” or “I’ll mentor you when you get out.”) Communicate these promises only to Defy staff, we would love to talk further about how you can help EITs!
